A Public Bible Study

Partially borne out a frustration for a lack of insightful and practical commentaries, and partially out of a personal love for Scripture with a strong desire to share, Atone is simply a public Bible Study put to a blog format. Though I may write bluntly and passionately at times, I urge you to consider my notes as no more than that – just the public Bible study one fallen man’s perspective of timeless Scripture. The Bible is a book that contains oceans of wisdom and thousands of transfinite truths. Because of its depth, human minds often have difficulty comprehending much of Scripture.

This mind is no less frail and dull.  Scripture is a multi-dimensional book of truths because it unveils the beauty and majesty of God in the Godman Jesus Christ. To that end, it should be said that the Bible must always be approached with the deepest humility, honesty and respect – particularly when examining commentaries.

All that said, and all necessary disclaimers aside, this blog is an attempt to make as much of Jesus Christ as possible – as he is revealed through his Word.  It is my hope that this blog will give you a taste for why Scripture is so dear to me and why it has been so dearly cherished by millions of Christians since the resurrection of the Lord Jesus some 2,000 years ago.

May we all learn a little more together.
